Hello!  We are now in the Scottish Highlands in the quaint town of Aviemore.  It is beautiful! Very lush, green, and picturesque. We walked around the town and had lunch at a charming old inn.  Sean had haggis which was pretty good!  Doesn't taste like chicken :)   

For dinner, we went to the Old Bridge Inn which is a 1600s house that was converted into a restaurant. It sits along the river and is a local favorite. What a night!

Visiting this area was a dream come true!  I can imagine the Haldanes (my ancestors) working in the fields.  I wonder if they would have ever comprehended that a descendant of theirs would come back to this beautiful place many years later and feel connected.  An amazing adventure!

 

On to St. Andrews!
